Love Rocks

These are the "Love Rocks" that Lochlan started... and well... I finished! He is planning on selling them in the craft show and also giving some away as Christmas gifts. The idea is to give one to someone you love, that is why we are calling them "Love Rocks."

To make them, you just need some decoupage glue like Mod Podge, a paintbrush, some smooth rocks, and little heart shapes cut from pretty patterned fabrics. The Mod Podge took a couple of days to dry per side.

We got the idea from Red Bird Crafts. Check out her beautiful rocks with birds on them here (in her blog banner).

The end!

  3. How beautiful and they do make wonderful gifts. I'm going to send your link to a friend, she collects stones especially heart shaped ones and paints them, she will love these. I have a couple of them that she's given me and I love them.

I particulalry like the big one with the blue heart you see at the top on the last photo.

  9. When I was very, very small, I painted rocks for my Grandpa. I didn't think about them again until I was a pre-teen; he passed away. Among his treasured possessions, we found those old painted rocks.

    These just melt my heart.

  14. These are so beautiful. There's something about pebbles. They just evoke a calmness. And the hearts make them that much more special.
